The U.S. Ryder Cup team ... so far
The Ryder Cup is a little more than two months away and there is no buzz. No one is talking about it and no one is writing about it. It used to be included in just about every final-round game story written in the United Kingdom from January on. Not this year. I guess when you have back-to-back blowout snoozers, it's not big news anymore.

Sorenstam leaves the U.S. Women's Open with one more memorable moment
Annika Sorenstam has never had the knack for moments, as Tiger Woods does. What she's had is sustained excellence, 13 years of it, much of it defined by her play in the U.S. Open, which she won three times. She will retire at the end of the year and Interlachen was her farewell to the championship -- the only true major in women's golf -- that she so enriched.
